Hollywood Studios presents an unusual accessibility profile. On one hand it is the smallest of the four Florida parks by walking distance, entirely flat apart from the climb up Sunset Boulevard and into the Fantasmic amphitheater, and paved throughout with no cobblestones. On the other, it has the highest concentration of must-transfer attractions of any Walt Disney World park, and the least shade.
The height requirements compound this. Seven attractions have a stick, and five of those seven also require a physical transfer out of a wheelchair or ECV into a ride seat. Of the park's major rides, only Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Toy Story Midway Mania and Rise of the Resistance offer any form of wheelchair-accessible vehicle, and Rise of the Resistance still requires walking or wheeling through two standing pre-show rooms.
Heat is the accessibility issue nobody puts on a list. Toy Story Land, Sunset Boulevard and Galaxy's Edge have long uncovered queues, and the Slinky Dog Dash standby line in particular is a serious problem for anyone with a heat-sensitive condition. Plan the indoor attractions as structural rests rather than as things you do if there is time.

Sensory notes
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is the most intense sensory attraction at Walt Disney World: near-total darkness, sudden loud effects, and repeated free-falls in an unpredictable order.
- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets runs in the dark at high speed with music piped directly into the headrest at high volume, and inverts three times.
- The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular uses concussive pyrotechnics you feel in your chest, with the largest hits around the twelve and twenty-five minute marks; noise-reducing headphones are a reasonable call.
- Fantasmic includes a multi-minute villain sequence with fire on the water, heavy low-end sound and a very large dragon effect, and it plays at the end of a long day when children are already fatigued.
- Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is gentle overall but has a roughly forty-second tornado sequence with a spinning room, strobing light and loud chaotic audio.
- Star Tours combines a hard-throw motion base with a full-field 3D screen and is the single most reliable motion sickness trigger in the park.
Mobility notes
- Five of the seven height-restricted rides require a full transfer from a wheelchair or ECV into a ride seat: Star Tours, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
- Rise of the Resistance has wheelchair-accessible trackless vehicles but includes two standing pre-show rooms and a walking transition between segments, plus a transfer into a seat for the drop section.
- Toy Story Midway Mania and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway both offer vehicles that load a wheelchair directly without transferring, which makes them the two best options for guests who cannot transfer.
- The park is flat and fully paved except for the climb up Sunset Boulevard and the uphill approach into the Fantasmic amphitheater, which is a sustained grade and a long push.
- Fantasmic seating is steep concrete stadium benches with no backs; ask a cast member at the Sunset Boulevard entrance to be routed to the accessible sections rather than looking for them in the crowd.
- Alien Swirling Saucers looks tame but generates strong lateral force that presses the outside rider into the side of the car; guests with back, neck or shoulder conditions should skip it.
Vision and hearing
- The Frozen sing-along projects lyrics on screen throughout, which makes it one of the most usable shows in the park for guests with hearing loss even without an interpreter.
- Sign language interpretation is offered on a published schedule rather than at every performance, and the shows that carry it are the Indiana Jones stunt show, Beauty and the Beast and the Frozen sing-along; check the schedule in the app on the day.
- Handheld captioning is supported at Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Star Tours, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Rise of the Resistance and Walt Disney Presents; devices are collected at Guest Relations near the entrance.
- Audio description devices work at the major ride attractions and can be collected at Guest Relations with a refundable deposit.
- Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities and Star Wars Launch Bay are both deliberately dim with small, low-contrast labels; using a phone torch is accepted and cast members will not object.
- The Chinese Theatre projection shows have no audio description and rely entirely on visuals, so they offer little to a guest with significant vision loss compared with the live shows.
