What it is
The Plaza is a small Victorian dining room at the castle end of Main Street, next to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and sharing its kitchen. The menu is sandwiches, a burger, a couple of salads and a few hot entrees, plus proper ice cream sundaes made in house.
It is by a clear margin the least expensive table-service option in the park, which matters more than the food does. For roughly the price of two quick-service meals you get a server, air conditioning, a real chair and an hour off your feet in the middle of the day.
The room is genuinely small and the tables are close together. It fills at lunch and it books out well ahead on busy days despite being the restaurant nobody talks about.
Our verdict
The best-value table service at Magic Kingdom and the most reliable place to get an hour of air conditioning without spending sixty dollars a head. The food is fine, not memorable.
What to order
The dishes this kitchen is actually known for. Menus change seasonally, so treat this as what to look for rather than a guaranteed list.
- Angus cheeseburger
- Turkey and Swiss sandwich
- Plant-based Italian sandwich
- Ice cream sundae
- Hand-dipped milkshake
Tips for The Plaza Restaurant
- Book this as your midday reset rather than as a destination meal. It is the cheapest way to buy an hour of sitting down at Magic Kingdom.
- Order a sundae even if you are not staying for a meal — the ice cream comes from the parlor next door and it is considerably better than what the walk-up window serves.
- Same-day reservations open up here more often than at any other table-service restaurant in the park. Check the app at 10 a.m. and again around 2 p.m.
- Ask for a table by the window on the hub side. Those seats look out toward the castle and there are only a few of them.
- The plant-based sandwich is a genuinely good vegan option, which is rare at Magic Kingdom table service.

The Plaza Restaurant: common questions
Is The Plaza Restaurant cheaper than other Magic Kingdom table service?
Yes, substantially. Most items run roughly $18 to $28 per person as of July 2026, against prix fixe pricing well north of $60 at Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table.
Do you need a reservation at The Plaza Restaurant?
It is recommended but not essential. The room is small so walk-ups are hit and miss at peak lunch, but this restaurant releases same-day availability more often than any other table service in the park.
Does The Plaza Restaurant serve alcohol?
No. Alcohol at Magic Kingdom is limited to a handful of table-service restaurants, and The Plaza is not among them.
