What it is

Bengal Barbecue is a narrow counter across from the Jungle Cruise selling grilled skewers: beef with a sweet glaze, bacon-wrapped asparagus, chicken, and a vegetable skewer, plus a cheese-and-garlic breadstick. There is no indoor seating and only a handful of outdoor tables, so most people eat standing or walking.

It is the best-value real food at Disneyland for anyone who does not want a full meal. Two skewers and a breadstick costs less than a single counter-service platter elsewhere, comes out fast, and can be eaten while walking to your next queue.

It is also the most dietary-flexible spot in this half of the park. The vegetable skewer is vegan, several items are gluten-free by default, and the counter staff are used to fielding questions rather than sending you to a chef.

Our verdict

The best value in Disneyland Park and the right answer when you want real food without losing forty minutes. The beef skewer is good; the bacon-wrapped asparagus is the one to actually order.

Tips for Bengal Barbecue

  • Mobile order. The physical line at this window is one of the slowest per person in Adventureland because every skewer is grilled to order.
  • Two skewers plus a breadstick is a full lunch for most adults, at roughly half the cost of a counter-service platter.
  • The bacon-wrapped asparagus is the item regulars order and first-timers walk past. Get one even if you get nothing else.
  • There is almost nowhere to sit. Plan to eat standing, or take it to the Tiki Room garden or the seating near the Tropical Hideaway.
  • The vegetable skewer is vegan as served, which makes this one of the easiest vegan options in the park.

Banyan Beef Skewer

Bengal Barbecue

$6.99

Marinated beef grilled to order on a skewer with a sweet, slightly sticky glaze. Two of them plus a breadstick makes a full lunch.

Our take: The best cheap protein in the park and it comes out fast. Order two, eat them walking to Indiana Jones, and you have had lunch for less than a single counter-service plate costs.

Near the top of the list Savory Walkable

Outback Vegetable Skewer

Bengal Barbecue

$5.99

Grilled zucchini, squash, and red pepper on a skewer with a light seasoning, cooked on the same grill as the meat skewers.

Our take: One of the easiest vegan orders in the park and genuinely good rather than a consolation prize. Confirm the glaze at the window if you are strict, since preparations do change.

Savory VeganVegetarianGluten-friendly Walkable

Tiger Tail

Bengal Barbecue

A long twisted breadstick brushed with garlic and cheese, sold at the Bengal Barbecue window as a side to the skewers.

Our take: Good filler and the right thing to hand a child while the adults eat skewers. On its own it is a breadstick, and priced like a theme-park breadstick.

Bengal Barbecue: common questions

Is there seating at Bengal Barbecue?

Barely. There are a few outdoor tables nearby and nothing indoors. Most people eat standing at the rail or walking, which is part of why the location works as a fast option — plan to carry it rather than sit.

Are the skewers a full meal?

Two skewers plus a breadstick makes a reasonable lunch for most adults. Individually they are snack-sized. The pricing works out well below the counter-service platters elsewhere in the park for a similar amount of food.

Are there vegan options?

Yes. The vegetable skewer is vegan as prepared, and it is one of the more reliable plant-based options on this side of Disneyland. Ask the cast member at the window to confirm current preparation if it matters.
