What it is
Garden Grill occupies a circular dining room on the upper level of The Land pavilion that rotates slowly — one full turn takes about an hour — looking down over the scenes of the Living with the Land boat ride below. You see the storm, the prairie farmhouse, and the desert from above while you eat.
The meal is served family style: platters of turkey, beef, and fish with sides brought to the table and refilled on request. A meaningful portion of the vegetables comes from the greenhouses in the same building, which puts this restaurant in a small category of places where the farm-to-table claim is literally a floor away.
Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip and Dale visit tables in farming outfits. It is one of the calmer character meals on property — the room is small, the rotation is gentle, and the characters are not competing with a buffet line.

The best character meal at EPCOT and one of the better ones anywhere at Walt Disney World — unlimited food, a genuinely interesting room, and characters who are not rushed.

Tips for Garden Grill Restaurant
- Ask for an outer-ring table. The inner tables do not face the ride scenes and the whole point of the room is the view down into the pavilion.
- Refills are unlimited and nobody will stop you asking for a third round of the turkey. This is one of the better value character meals for big eaters, unlike most.
- Book breakfast if you can. It is the cheapest meal period, the room is quietest, and characters have more time per table.
- Ride Living with the Land immediately before or after. Eating the vegetables and then floating past where they were grown, or the reverse, is a small pleasure and takes fifteen extra minutes.
- The rotation is very slow but not zero. If someone in your party is prone to motion sensitivity, sit facing outward rather than across the table.
