Disney's Hollywood Studios
A short stretch of contemporary downtown Los Angeles that now functions mainly as the walkway into Galaxy's Edge.
Grand Avenue replaced the old Streets of America in 2017 and is styled as a present-day Los Angeles district rather than a period one: brick warehouses, murals, utility poles, a small plaza. It was always the smallest land in the park and it has become smaller.
Muppet*Vision 3D and the surrounding Muppets Courtyard closed in 2025 for the Monstropolis project. That was the land's only attraction, and its loss means Grand Avenue currently operates with no ride, show or walkthrough at all. Part of the area sits behind construction walls, and the walkway through to Galaxy's Edge is narrower and noisier than it was. Disney has not announced an opening date for Monstropolis, and any year you see attached to it is speculation rather than a company statement.
What remains is worth knowing about. BaseLine Tap House is the best bar in the park and the only one with a drinks list somebody clearly thought about. Mama Melrose's is the table service that still has same-day availability when everything else is booked out, and the food is better than its reputation.
Budget Grand Avenue as a two-minute walk with two good reasons to stop, not as a land you tour. Anyone arriving expecting the Muppets theater should know before they get there that it is gone.

A warm soft pretzel served with a beer cheese dip and a grain mustard at the California-focused beer bar on Grand Avenue.
Our take: The pretzel the Mickey-shaped one wishes it were: warm, fresh, with a dip that is genuinely made rather than pumped. Order it with a flight and skip the cart version entirely.
Four small pours from the rotating California draft list, built by the bartender to your preferences rather than fixed as a set lineup.
Our take: The only flight at Hollywood Studios worth the money and the best drink value in the park. Tell them what you like and let them choose.
A thin flatbread charred in the restaurant's hearth oven with a rotating set of toppings, served as a starter or a light meal.
Our take: The strongest thing the kitchen does and the reason to book the restaurant everybody else ignores. Order it to share before the pasta.
