What it is
This is the fastest and most aggressive ride at Hollywood Studios. A twenty-four passenger train sits at a dead stop, a countdown runs, and then a linear induction launch throws you from zero to roughly sixty miles an hour in under three seconds, straight into a rollover loop. What follows is about ninety seconds of indoor track in near-total darkness with three inversions, all set to a soundtrack piped through speakers in your headrest.
The coaster opened in 1999 and ran for twenty-six years with an Aerosmith theme. It was rethemed to the Muppets and reopened to all guests on May 26, 2026, at the same 48-inch height requirement and with no virtual queue. The track layout, the launch and the inversions are unchanged; the story, the pre-show, the queue decor and the soundtrack are new.
The Muppets framing works better than it has any right to. The premise is that you are late to a show and being driven there at an unreasonable speed by characters with no regard for traffic law, which is a more sensible reason for a stretch limousine to invert three times than the previous version ever had. It also gives the ride a comic tone that takes some of the edge off the queue without softening the ride itself.
What riding it is actually like
The queue is indoors and air conditioned after the first switchback, which makes it far more tolerable than the Slinky Dog Dash line on a hot afternoon. The pre-show puts you in a room where the situation is explained by characters on screens, then you walk out to the launch track.
Board and pull the harness down firmly. The launch is the moment: a countdown, a real physical push into the seat back, and the first inversion arrives about two seconds later before your brain has caught up. From there it is a run of turns and two more inversions with essentially no let-up until the brakes.
Sit in the front row if you want to see the lighting and the effects, which are much easier to read from there. Sit in the back row if you want the strongest launch; the back car is whipped through the launch section and hits the first inversion at a noticeably higher perceived speed. You must transfer into a coaster seat with an over-the-shoulder harness; the step over the side of the car is high and the harness does not accommodate every body shape, so there is a test seat outside the entrance. Guests with back, neck or heart conditions, and anyone who has had recent surgery, should not ride.
