Liberty Tree Tavern is a warren of small colonial dining rooms, each themed to a figure from American history, with low ceilings, fireplaces and pewter. It is the most convincing interior at Magic Kingdom that is not a ride.
Dinner is family style and all-you-care-to-enjoy: roast turkey, pot roast and pork carved and brought to the table with mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese and vegetables in serving bowls, refilled on request. Lunch is a shorter a la carte menu.
The food is straightforward American holiday cooking done properly — the turkey is actually roasted, the gravy is not from a packet, and the dessert is a warm sundae. It will not surprise anyone, and that is the point.
